About – What is healing?

Energy healing is a way to increase our capacity to change. We are able to utilize various forms of energy, from motion, to subtle energy, to thought energy, to speed up or act upon our natural tendency toward healing and growth. By allowing our system to use more energy and providing it with a resource, we can heal faster. By focusing energy on a barrier to healing, we can overcome it.

A healer allows the space for this to happen and brings tools and knowledge that may be useful for the recipient.

What Does A Session Look Like

All sessions are conducted in a relaxing atmosphere and last for 30-90 minutes. Longer sessions are available for couples and those wanting something more involved. Sessions can be conducted at a location of your choice. Each session involves settling down and spending time to focus on helping you develop a connection with your inner source of energy. As you increase your connection and deepen your experience of it you are able to draw upon your innate capacity heal and grow in awareness; or for couples, to connect in a much deeper and more direct way so as to greatly increase the intimacy in the relationship.

THAI MASSAGE

Traditional Thai Massage

I practice Traditional Thai Massage. It is done fully clothed, on a mat on the floor. It primarily involves lots of compressions and stretching. Some people relate it to Yoga, calling it two person yoga, Thai Yoga, or ‘having yoga done to you’. There is some historical precedent for that as the roots of Thai massage were influenced by Ayurveda, the traditional healing system of India, as well as Traditional Chinese Medicine.

I’ve heard stories from people who had the unfortunate experience of getting a Traditional Thai massage from a practitioner that didn’t cater to their needs. They say that ‘Thai is too rough’ but that is only the case if the practitioner follows a sequence and doesn’t adapt their style to the body of their client.

I was taught a gentle style that is client focused and does not follow a set sequence, but rather is adapted to the needs of the client. Pressure can be very light or very strong depending on the goals the client has for the session as well as their preference.

I thoroughly enjoy the creative process of performing a unique massage for my clients, each time we meet.

One of the most important aspects of Thai massage for me is the relaxation that it can produce. Through rhythmic movements and rocking both the client and the practitioner can experience trance states which have been shown to be beneficial for the nervous system as well as other body systems.

When coming for your Traditional Thai massage be sure to wear loose, comfortable clothing that will not restrict your movement in any direction.

Session length can be adapted to the needs of the needs of the client and generally I suggest 90 minutes for full body with a generous amount of attention for each area. Thai massage is $225 for 90 minutes.

CHAIR MASSAGE

On-Site Chair Massage

When I was in massage school one of the most inspiring moments for me was when I was learning about chair massage. My instructor said: “It’s amazing how much you can accomplish in just a few minutes. I like to tell people ‘give me five minutes, I’ll change your life.’”

This was verily demonstrated, both during that class and subsequently as I’ve worked with people in a chair at various schools, events, and offices. The amount of benefit from even a short massage is truly unmissable and it brings me no end of satisfaction to provide these experiences to my clients.

Chair massage is done in a portable chair specially designed to be used for massage. It is padded and sat on in a reverse position with the head and chest supported. Massages are performed with clothes on and no special attire is necessary.

They can be scheduled beforehand or be on a first come first served basis and be from 5-35 minutes in length per person.

Each session is tailored to suit the client and focuses on their specific needs. Special concerns can be adapted for and clients always are informed that they are in charge of directing the session to best suit them and what they are comfortable with.

On-site Chair Massage is billed at $180 per hour. There is a 20 minute break scheduled in for 3+ hour sesssions and a 45 minutes of distributed breaks for 5+ hour sessions.

WHOLEPOINT ENERGY HEALING TECHNIQUE

Wholepoint

WHAT IS WHOLEPOINT ENERGY HEALING

Wholepoint Energy Healing is a healing system that includes a range of techniques designed to help free our minds from fixed ways of thinking, deepen our understanding of the self and strengthen meaningful connections with others.

The Wholepoint approach to healing includes: The Wholepoint Energy Healing Technique, Chakra Balancing, and EFT.

Each of the techniques can be practiced individually or together and rest upon a firm individual commitment and responsibility to creating a new reality that speaks to who we are and allows us to reach our fullest potential.

From wherever you are at right now all you need is a plan and a goal and the Wholepoint approach can be used to help you progress more quickly and easily.

THE WHOLEPOINT ENERGY HEALING TECHNIQUE

Create more love and harmony as you enjoy your life’s authentic unfolding.

As I transition into the trance state necessary to perform healing with Wholepoint I feel a sense of wonderful warmth and fullness. I feel deeply connected to myself and a dissolution of any distance between that and my coworker in this process, the recipient.

There is always a way to get deeper, and I’m always looking for it. I truly appreciate the support that those that work with me give by being there and being open to receive. The response that I have gotten from many of the friends and clients that I have worked with has been truly touching and I love to share the experience and healing effects that they reported having with anyone and everyone I can.

Using feeling and sensation as our guide we will journey through levels of being, finding where and why you are having this experience.

Sessions last one hour and cost $210 for in person or $195 for phone or online video call.

CHAKRA BALANCING

Chakra Balancing is yet another way to deepen and improve your way of being. It involves touching specific points on the body together to activate a harmonic range of sensation and balance.

Individuals are able to learn to practice on themselves or they can have me work on them while they simply relax and flow through the experience.

Couples can be trained to work with each other in this method and learn to lead each other through an intense and compassionate recognition of their ability to strengthen and reinforce their individual energies for a shared expansion of consciousness.

Sessions, for individuals, are 75-90 minutes long including fifteen minutes of preparation or discussion and one or one and a quarter hours of treatment and is billed at $195-$230 per session.

Training for couples is 3 hours long allowing time for each person to work on the other, and costs $480. It is recommended that at least one of the pair has experienced a treatment from Hayden before training.

EFT

EFT or Emotional Freedom Technique uses tapping on acupressure points to release blockages in the energy pathways that are affecting a person. It is a very quick and effective method to get past traumas, phobias, and bad habits as well as dealing with pain, allergies, and other concerns.

For couples that want to create a perfect harmony in their relationship learning to use this tool can drastically decrease instances of disagreement and moments of discomfort with each other.

Session length can vary depending on your needs and is billed at $110 per hour.

TRANSFORMATIONAL HEALING SESSION

Transformational Healing is my term for intuitively using all the tools I have available as we balance organically orienting towards and pragmatically pursuing a goal of yours (or a space of exploration when a goal has yet to become defined).

It tends to be intense for many clients and we generally take around an hour or less but I highly encourage people to block out 3 hours for it as it provides flexibility for it to take as long as it needs without cutting you off while things are processing. I don't wish to encourage anyone to open the box and lay everything out but not be given a chance to pack everything back up before heading back into the world. If the time used is shorter than allotted, having scheduled the padding for afterwards still gives you time to re-ground and reorient, take notes, and have the space to process insights and make plans to act on them.

MEDITATION LESSONS AND COACHING

Meditation is a semantically overloaded word. It means many different things. My connection with meditation is from a rest and relaxation perspective. I understand it as rejuvenating and not draining. Rather than attempting to focus, concentrate, or rid the mind of any specific activity, my practice involves allowing whatever may occur while maintaining a gentle container of intention to let things go as easily as they come.

For people who want to get started with meditation I offer open answers to basic questions without any prejudice for or against any particular way of meditating. I will, on the other hand, show prejudice against misleading marketing hype and cultish organizations or practices. It can be hard to start out learning about topics with "spiritual", "metaphysical", "occult", or "esoteric" labels due to the unfathomable amount of misinformation available. Having a guide who isn't attempting to lead you to a specific destination, whatever their justifications, but only to help you navigate on your own is rare and can greatly advance your journey.
The easiest thing to start with is guided meditations, which don't require any training beforehand. Another zero training option, which works extremely well for some people and not at all for others, is brainwave entrainment, such as binaural beats or isochronic tones.
Finding something that both works for you and is enjoyable enough to practice regularly can be a long process. I am able to provide support and accountability as you progress toward your goal.

For people who want to improve their meditation I offer tips and insight through conversation and practice. Usually, a block to having the desired experience is in the form of unexamined assumptions that we can unearth and realign. Sometimes the type of meditation practice is not conducive to the desired outcome and we can find one that is for you to experiment with. Sometimes unhelpful patterns or habits have crept into a practice and need some accountability to be resolved.

For people who want to find a style of meditation that works for them after having tried some before and not found it easy, or beneficial, or both, I offer an overview of styles and support with cutting through marketing fabrications and sticking with a program long enough to find out if it works for you.

HYPNOSIS

you are in a trance

This is how our brains work

we are always in one state or another

hypnosis is using knowledge of how to shift states and which states are conducive to which type of activities or effects

hypnosis is using specialized communication techniques to offer suggestions that are more likely to be acted on

Hypnotherapy offers use of tools that, when applied, can enhance specific responses. The art is to know when to apply what tool so that a client, or oneself, may move the needle on behavior change in a positive direction. Sometimes these tactics can produce dramatic improvements very quickly and other times they seem mostly ineffective or only as effective as standard approaches.

My use of hypnotherapeutic tools involves much education, training, and practice for clients to empower themselves to overcome limitations and blocks to change and healing.

You can read about the validity and applications of hypnosis in [[https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/treatments/22676-hypnosis][this Cleveland Clinic article]]. Be aware that besides treating ailments such as those listed in the article, hypnosis can be a great tool for coaching and motivation, goal achievement, self understanding, and more esoteric interests including spiritual development. Hypnosis can also be used to undergo invasive medical procedures without anesthetics, give birth without pain or anesthetics, improve sports performance, improve concentration, improve creativity, resolve conflicts, see another point of view, come to peace with dying, get over loss, become a better programmer, become comfortable using computers, and the list goes on. It is also great to learn about generally, as it is used in marketing, advertising, political campaigning, and other forms of propaganda and the only way to effectively protect yourself from untoward influence is to be informed. Related to the last point, there are a lot of misunderstandings about hypnosis in common circulation. One which the article reinforces is that hypnosis relies on a trance or induction to produce some relaxed state as a part of the way that it works. This has been disproven, special states are not necessary but can be used as additional tools to help achieve specific aims.

INTUITIVE COACHING AND READINGS

I can offer flexible options for coaching and for readings.
Coaching can be for any specific goal. It can be through text, email, video, phone, in person, or a combination. We'll start with a planning session and create specific waypoints that will show progress when achieved. By laying out a map initially we can have more freedom to adjust our course as things develop over time. Accountability and planning tools are organically and intuitively applied during our sessions. Support and coaching tools are applied as resistance comes up. Sessions should be mostly fun, a modicum of effort, and always outcome focused.

I can perform readings at events and can do them in person or over the internet. I don't tend to use tools such as cards or animal entrails or anything but I'll often have clients make notes or do small exercises on paper.
Very short readings are possible in as little as 5 minutes, which entails no preamble. A formal intuitive session is 30, 45, or 60 minutes and starts with answering any questions about the process, writing out any questions that you would like addressed, a short guided meditation, further writing of questions if needed, asking and answering questions, and completes with a grounding exercise and any follow up questions about what was experienced.

MARMA

Marma is the Ayurvedic counterpart to Acupressure. Specific points on the body are gently touched to activate and channel the flow prana. It is very very relaxing and has many purported health benefits. I just like it because I've have such nice experiences as a recipient and such strange, powerful, and interesting experiences as a provider.
